Abstract

This study aims to examine how social capital is intertwined in the development of Kampung Wisata Kungkuk, Punten Village, Bumiaji District, Batu City. This research method uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. With this method, researchers try to describe, analyze, and build meaning about the phenomenon of developing Kungkuk Tourism Village. The results of this study indicate that the development and implementation of Kungkuk Tourism Village has been able to include the people of Kungkuk Hamlet. This is because there has been strong social capital between the management of the tourist village and the people of Kungkuk Hamlet. The strength of social capital between tourism managers and hamlet communities is influenced by trust, norms, and networks between managers and hamlet communities so that people have confidence and encouragement to participate in the development and implementation of Kungkuk Tourism Village.
